Cisco Certification Courses

There are hundreds of IT-related certifications that are now available. However, Cisco’s certifications belong to the most recognizable worldwide certifications. Cisco has created the certification process to give administrators a set of skills and equip prospective employers to measure skills or match specific criteria. Becoming Cisco Certified can be a crucial step of a successful journey toward a new, enriching, and sustainable career.

The emerging industries of information and communication technologies are in constant need of professionals. Cisco certifications ensure that the certified candidate is trained to work on the network track. Currently, there is a single Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) exam for the CCNA 200-301 certification. It covers the fundamental knowledge on networking. There are also separate CyberOps Associate (CBROPS 200-201) and DevNet Associate (DEVASC 200-901) certifications for the associate level.

You can directly take the CCNP exam even without passing the CCNA exam. In order to have a professional level certification, you have to pass two CCNP exams, one core exam and one concentration exam. For every CCNP track, there is a single core exam that is required to be taken and passed. There are also multiple concentration exams where you can choose a specific specialization under the CCNP track. You can take either the core or the concentration exam first, then the other one next.

The seven CCNP tracks and their core and concentration exams are the following:

1. CCNP Collaboration (CLCOR 350-80)

The CCIE expert certifications also follow the Cisco tracks. It is required that you pass the track’s core CCNP exam and the CCIE lab exam to become CCIE certified. Cisco Certified Design Expert (CCDE) certification requires passing the CCDE 400-007 written exam and the CCDE practical exam. The written exam is a prerequisite for the lab exam. Therefore, you must pass the core CCNP exam and/or the CCDE written exam before taking the lab exam counterpart.
